Platinum-selling pop singer/songwriter/musician RYAN CABRERA has announced he is back in the studio, working on new music to be released this fall on Dynamite Music. This will mark the first release from the new boutique label–founded by Mitch Davis and Marco Liuzzo–in partnership with Caroline, the independent division of Capitol Music Group/Universal Music Group, and the first new music from RYAN since the release of his single “I See Love” in May 2013.
“Signing Ryan Cabrera is an exciting moment for Dynamite Music and Caroline,” Davis says. “Ryan not only is well liked by many in the music and entertainment world, but I can add that he is a true artist and gem of a soul. The music we have been working on together shows amazing growth as an artist and most importantly is fantastic. Simply put, it is going to be a fun time bringing Ryan back to where he belongs…in front of fans and winning over new ones.”
“All at Caroline are thrilled to welcome Dynamite Music and Ryan Cabrera to the family,” Dominic Pandiscia, President of Caroline says. “We look forward to partnering with Dynamite Music and Ryan in supporting his eagerly awaited new album. Ryan is an incredible creative force and Caroline will bring that same energy and creativity in helping to realize his vision.”
“I’m extremely excited and proud to have such a brilliant team in Lippman Entertainment [management], Dynamite Music and Caroline,” RYAN says. “It’s an honor to work with some of the best minds the music business has to offer. Believing in who you work with is something I value and I have enough experience now in the business to know how important teamwork is.”
RYAN–who is known for his massive pop hits “On The Way Down,”“True” and “Shine On,” among others–will release a new single this summer, followed by an EP this fall and full-length album later this year. RYAN has also carefully crafted his creative team and is working with a collection of acclaimed producers and songwriters such as Justin Gray (Mariah Carey, Joss Stone, John Legend, Amy Winehouse, Luis Fonsi), DJ White Shadow, aka Paul Blair, (Lady Gaga), Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera, Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion), Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat), Andrew Fromm (Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Selena Gomez) and acclaimed mixer Tony Maserati (Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Lady Gaga, Jason Mraz), as well as collaborating with fellow musicians and friends Evan Ross and Travis Clark from We The Kings.
“It’s truly been such a fun journey writing and recording this record,” RYAN shares. “Being able to take my time with it has really allowed it to take shape and come together the only way I could see it turning out! I have learned so much working with Justin Gray and writing with so many talented people like Nathan Chapman, Andrew Fromm, Shelly Peiken and tons more. Also, finally getting to do a song with longtime friend Paul Blair was awesome.”
The Dallas-native signed a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2001 and teamed up with Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls to co-produce his first major label debut album Take It All Away, which was released in 2004. That album spawned the hits “On The Way Down,” which reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “True,” which hit #8 on the Billboard pop chart. Take it All Away sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S. alone and reached #8 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, selling over 67,000 copies in the first week and eventually was certified Double Platinum.
RYAN’s follow-up album You Stand Watching arrived in 2005 and included the hit singles “Shine On” and “40 Kinds of Sadness”–which hit #25 and #32 respectively on the Billboard pop chart. This continued to propel RYAN into stardom and opened the doors for a deal with MTV and his own TV show, “Score.” After the TV stint, RYAN released the single “I Will Remember You,” which was used as the closing montage for the entire series of “Will and Grace,” as well as numerous other notable TV placements. The success of the song was evident by its rise on the iTunes 100. RYAN followed this with his fourth album, 2008’s The Moon Under Water. In 2013 RYAN released the digital single “I See Love,” featured on the highest-viewed season finale of the ABC Family’s hit show, “The Vineyard.”
Most recently, RYAN has been relentlessly working on his craft and continuing to hit the road, performing live for his fans. All of last year RYAN was on a co-headlining tour with Tyler Hilton and Teddy Geiger and then joined YouTube sensations Boyce Avenue for a sold-out tour in the U.K. and Ireland. RYAN recently signed to ICM Partners talent agency, working with Scott Pang, Scott Mantel and Brandon Zmigrocki, and is looking forward to announcing new tour dates shortly after recording ends.
RYAN also currently curates a live music series called “Live from Ryan’s Living Room.” Every two monthshe puts together a lineup of some of today’s biggest artists to perform at his house and streams the show online to fans worldwide via stageit.com. Because he is extremely passionate about helping others, all proceeds raised from tickets purchased go directly to charity and he chooses a different cause every time. Past performers include We the Kings, Colbie Caillat, Lance Bass, Gavin DeGraw, Josh Kelley, Billy Ray Cyrus, Keaton Simmons, Blake Lewis, Elliot Yamin, and many more. To date, RYAN has helped raise over $17,000 toward various charitable endeavors.
