After releasing the title track “Medicine” from their upcoming LP, Portland-based band TENTS are back with the official music video and we’ve got the exclusive!
In the latest music video for “Medicine,” we see Brian Hall trying to work up the courage to express himself through movement. Alongside him is a young girl who brings the “you can do it” attitude as she attempts to get Brian to dance. The video features a classy white backdrop, it’s simple, but it works for this melancholic, yet optimistic, track.
“For us, the song “Medicine” is about being vulnerable, being present, and how music can be healing. Eirlin has this really free and authentic way of dancing. To us, she’s just being herself. This confident, playful, amazing kid who’s trying to draw me out of my shell. I represent the inhibited artist.
– Brian Hall of TENTS
Many of the songs written by TENTS are like a soundtrack to the videos they make and are brought to life through their Youtube series known as “Making Medicine.” The band has shared the stage with the likes of Ten Fe, Frankie Simone, and Kelli Schaefer, but they are no strangers to performing live, especially in the West Coast.
TENTS new album, Medicine, will be released through Badman Recording Co. (STRFKR, Mark Kozelek, The Builders and the Butchers) on October, 11, 2019.
