Individuality & personal growth runs wild in Hackney-born songstress, Millie Turner, who on her second ever extended player, Hide+Seek, is developing into an outright One To Watch for 2020. The seven-tracklist is evidence of a singular, talented teenage voice that hammers out honesty in all she does. Watch out for the newest gem in the pack, January, which is an ode to pressing the reset button, whilst being prepared to making the same mistakes & being okay with it. You can hear her live on tour opening for Tove Lo next year in March.

“January represents an idea for me, a time where there’s this internal pressure to do more, be more, start again, relive your life, forget that you’re human” explains Turner, who wrote January as self awareness notes to herself, continuing “In reality I’m a mess and make mistakes all the time and this song is a parody for the reality that “January” brings. Take me to January, where I can make more mistakes and live like a normal human growing and self improving in my own way. In the meantime I will spill the milk.” The song is also apart of a collaboration with H&M where she’s designed illustrations to feature on their newest line of clothing.
Turner’s music to date has been a feast for the eyes & ears, from the spectacular lo-fi visuals she co-directs for all of her music. You can see her influences of human storytelling combined with all her artistry beyond music creation (painting & illustration) in each of her videos below from her, both from this new EP & her earlier remarks in 2018: https://millieturner.lnk.to/youtubePR
