West Coast underground is back in a big way! Multi-Grammy Award-winning mega-producer, Hit-Boy and the famous underground L.A. rapper, Dom Kennedy have released a new album, Courtesy of Half-a-Mil. The featured single “City on Lock” features legendary rapper, Nas.
Hit-Boy is known for his prodigious hits with Nipsey Hussle, Jay-Z, Kanye, Drake, Beyonce and more. In January, he added another Grammy Award to his collection for Best Rap Performance for the assisted Nipsey Hussle and Roddy Rich track, “Racks In the Middle.” The pressure is on Hit-boy to keep producing With all eyes watching him, he’s dropping timeless music, along with announcing his biggest hit of all time, his son.
L.A. rapper, Dom Kennedy began making a name for himself in the late 2000s. His music is inspired by West Coast Hip-Hop and he’s worked with the likes of Ty Dolla Sign, Skeme and Nipsey Hussle. Instead of signing to a label, he created his own and produced critically acclaimed mixtapes including “From the Westside with Love” in 2010.
