Having confidently joined the Birmingham scene in August 2021, The Vista have gone from strength to strength. With two singles released to a warm reception and a number of live shows now under their belt, including their first headline show at the prestigious Deadwax in Digbeth in January, they have already proven themselves one of the hottest new bands in Birmingham.
Described by Our Sound Music as putting the ‘rock into indie’, The Vista are excited to be focussing on their live shows over the upcoming summer season.
Their latest release, Truth Be Told, a pseudo country leap into a more pop like indie sound which is guaranteed to be stuck in your head after your first listen, and stuck on repeat after the first day.
Truth be told was written in a bar by lead singer Sam Stringer and features a story of struggle after a breakup to the juxtaposed backdrop of a cheery, fast paced, full band toe tapping backing.
With an ear-worm guitar hook written by lead guitarist Joe Ockford, and the solid rhythm section of bassist Duarte Colaço and drummer David Kirkham, The Vista are hoping to fly up the ranks both locally and nationally with their new release.
Supported by a full music video, hoped radio play as well as a boisterous social media campaign, The Vista are hoping to have a national reach sooner rather than later, with hope and belief placed firmly in their new single.
