Social media star, rising adult entertainer, and powerhouse musician Alex Blair, shares her journey to self-empowerment and love with her new album “Eclipse”.

Her album “Eclipse” takes you from after-breakup solitude to a girl’s night on the town, finding love within yourself regardless of what anyone else thinks or says about you, into a spirituality in growing to love yourself, your body, and all the emotions that come with change.
She understands that no one really knows who she is on the inside, and shares that inner part of discovering her likes and needs on “The Eclipse”.
Her musicianship stems from a deep-rooted love of soul. Along with an extensive performance and educational background in jazz and musical theater. Alex Blair’s sultry, velvet sound, and unmatched on-stage presence make for a dynamic performance every time she steps on stage. Alex had the opportunity to open up for R&B artist Ginuwine with her original project “Blayr” in May 2018 in Austin.
In 2014 Alex graduated with a degree in performance from the world-renowned jazz school at the University of North Texas. Blair received numerous awards including a coveted jazz scholarship from the University of North Texas and outstanding performer at the Berklee College of Music jazz festival. She has an extensive history in musical theater. She studied both vocal technique and acting with nationally recognized teacher and author Rhonda Carlson.
Alex spent 2019 touring 32 cities around the country with guitarist Stone Mecca (Earth, Wind & Fire, RZA). She had the opportunity to perform alongside the legendary Jerome Benton from the band “The Time” and Andre Cymone (Prince). In October 2019 she sang alongside Stone Mecca as they opened for Wu-Tang clan on their Texas tour.
Not only is Alex a heavy hitting performer, but she is also a talented recording artist. Alex has been working with Drive 35 productions for the voice’s official karaoke app as an on-call studio vocalist.
You can hear her vocals featured on the UNT jazz singers downbeat award nominated album “I Can’t Help It” (2015). Alex was recognized for her vocals on downbeat award winner Kyle Gordon’s arrangement of “my own and only love” (2016).
Her debut album “Taste” released November 2017 under the name Blayr and is available on all major music carriers. “Season of the Curvy Fox” project written and produced by Blair, was a play on her alias “Curvy Fox.” Which accentuated her sexy side and showcased her vocal ability (2020). Her latest release “The Eclipse” is a soulful sound that taps into Alex’s R&B side.
“The Eclipse” is sexy and full of flavor. There is a song for everyone on this album. This includes the party girls, couples, independent people, smokers, secret lovers, and dance floor steppers. Since Alex’s musical roots started in Jazz, and she brings that classic, jazzy vibe to her song “Free”.
Her single “If” is a soulful love song reminiscent of 90’s R&B, and in essence a throwback to when you recorded songs from the radio on your tape player. Her music will be “Stuck With You” because this is an album you want to hit play and roll the music all the way through. This is only a “Tayste” of what’s to come when you experience “The Eclipse”.
