Nashville-Tenn.–Dream pop songstress Fiona Maura has just released her latest single, “Lavender,” an ethereal track that showcases her unique blend of synth-pop and atmospheric soundscapes that will transport you to a dream-like state.
With its playful melody, layered harmonies, and whimsical lyrics, “Lavender” is a perfect example of Fiona’s ability to capture the magic of wonder and bliss in her music. The otherworldly sounds and hazy synthesizers will carry you to a cosmic realm of relaxation—creating a truly enchanting listening experience.
“‘Lavender’ is a song about escaping reality to your ideal fantasy,” says Fiona. “In 2020 during lockdown I felt trapped and unhappy like many others. A couple years prior during my freshman year of college, I painted a lavender watercolor picture. It brought me comfort so I packed it with me for lockdown in my childhood home. As I was sobbing one day I looked at the picture and said ‘I want to be there. I wish I could dive into that painting and wake up in a field full of lavender!’ That moment birthed the song. I hope ‘Lavender’ brings a bit of magic into people’s lives.”
Written by Fiona and produced by ARHT, who produced Fiona’s previous songs “Sativa,” and “Ocean Waves Goodbye,” “Lavender” brings a sense of nostalgia. With its sparkling instrumentation and radiant vocals, “Lavender” glows with a luminous energy that’s both uplifting and introspective.
You can follow Fiona on her website, fionamaura.com and on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to stay up-to-date on her upcoming events and performances. Lavender is available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and all other digital retailers.
