LISTEN HERE The track is taken from Stefflon Don’s brand-new mixtape ‘Secure’ out via 54 London on August 17th.
The single features the talents of the south-London/Tazmanian artist Tiggs Da Author and is another fantastic step forward in Steff’s plan for world domination. The track cuts a strong dancehall stance that nods to Steff’s heritage but adds the unique twists that make it an unmistakable Stefflon Don hit. On writing the track, Steff said “it was sick working with Tiggs Da Author and creating Pretty Girl with him, it’s 100% a summer jam.”
With ‘Pretty Girl’ set to make real waves as well as Steff’s recent smash hit ‘Calypso’ with Luis Fonsi and her announcement as the first ever British woman on XXL’s annual ‘Freshman List’, there’s no sign of her slowing down on the horizon.
Last year, Steff went from strength-to-strength to cement her reputation as London’s most formidable young talent. From winning Best Female at the MOBO Awards to Best Newcomer at this year’s NME Awards and being shortlisted for The Brits Critics Choice Award, the East London star continued to defy expectations, managing to release both the gritty Skepta-featured track ‘Ding-A-Ling’ as well as the anthemic dancehall of the Top 10 single ‘Hurtin’ Me’.
Less than six months later and Steff has world domination firmly in her sights; releasing and featuring on several incredible singles including ‘Senseless’, Jax Jones’ ‘Instruction feat. Demi Lovato’ and Sean Paul on his remix of ‘Hurtin Me’, covering both ES Magazine and the last ever issue of NME, going platinum on ‘Hurtin’ Me’ (1.5M+ singles sold) and making her US TV debut on James Corden’s ‘The Late Show’. Her stats continue to impress with a monstrous 320M+ worldwide streams to date and 180m+ worldwide video views. With incredible performances at BBC Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend and Capital’s Summertime Ball under her belt and recent collaborations with the likes of Drake, Quavo, Big Sean, Halsey, Raye, MC Fioti, Niska and Calvin Harris, there seems to be nothing that can stop Stefflon Don taking over the planet.
