Amsterdam indie-rock outfit Pip Blom, named for their dynamic frontwoman, is thrilled to make their US debut today with the release of their new EP Paycheck. (The EP will be available on 10″ vinyl on November 9). The EP’s release follows a wave of early raves for the band’s intense guitar rock sound: Rolling Stone named “Come Home” a Song You Need to Know, praising its “killer post-punk groove” and adding, “
Pip Blom is a 22-year-old Amsterdammer with a perfect post-punk name and a Cobain-ish gift for saying a lot with a little. “NPR also declared itself a fan of the band’s audacious sound, calling the single “Pussycat” “a perfect millennial anthem.”
Paycheck is out now and available for purchase HERE. Pip Blom just wrapped a run of European dates with Garbage and is currently on tour in the UK. Watch this space for updates on their forthcoming full-length debut.

In 2017, a series of hooky singles Blom uploaded to the internet hit over a million plays, bringing a sudden burst of overseas accolades. The 7-inches sold out quickly, and Persona Non Grata (run by Guided By Voices / Yoko Ono manager) is pressing just 500 copies of this 10-inch. The EP is something of an older sibling to Blom’s previous singles, doubling up on the infectiousness of those early hits but with a bigger crunch.
