(Philadelphia—April 23, 2020)—Award-winning soul, R&B and pop singer/songwriter, Alexi Paraschos, releases a 10-minute video announcing the release of his second studio album Love Odyssey and its lead single, “Mine.” The video is on Alexi’s Youtube channel and “Mine” is available on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music and all streaming services.
Inspired by a trip to his father’s homeland of Greece and a recent engagement to his girlfriend, Love Odyssey is a 10-track project that invites listeners on a voyage to experience honest emotions, sounds inspired by the 80s-90s and engaging storytelling.
The Love Odyssey’s visual previews songs with features from Jadakiss, T3 of Slum Village, M11son, Amina Buddafly, Chrisette Michele and Natalie Stewart of Floetry. The video also credits production by Doobie Powell (The Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett, and Kelly Price) and Parris Bowens.
“Mine” is a contemporary blend of R&B and pop sounds with playful lyrics about common nicknames people call each other when they’re in love. To describe the song, Alexi says, “When I met my (now) fiancée, I was doing a songwriting challenge where I was trying to write a song a day. And it was within the first three days of meeting her, that I sat down to write, and this melody and groove just came into my head. I had the whole thing written within an hour and the first time I played it for her, she said, ‘That’s gonna be your next hit.’ So I had to put it out as the lead single on a whole album that was so inspired by her!”
“Mine” is written by Alexi Paraschos and produced by “The Bearded Wonder” Tony Moore, Eric “Boots” Green, Junius Bervine and Dennard Watson.
