Dynamic songwriter & multi-instrumentalist bennytheghost has shared his new single “Say Something,” available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. The song marks bennytheghost’s first release since his debut EP, Supersonic.
Coming off his six month hiatus, “Say Something” kicks off his second EP as a driving, summery bop with tight rhythms to compliment the catchy and airy vocal melodies. Inspired by artists like Dominic Fike and Role Model, “Say Something” bounces through the verses and choruses and with the relatable, self-deprecating lyrics that get stuck in your head even after it’s over.
Originally from Arlington, VA, bennytheghost attended the Duke Ellington school for performing arts in DC and the Frost School of Music in Miami. Focusing on guitar and songwriting, bennytheghost was raised on indie rock bands such as The Strokes, The Killers, Two Door Cinema Club, and The Arctic Monkeys.
Bennytheghost now lives in LA and collaborates with various different producers to make contemporary, guitar-driven indie pop with anthemic choruses designed for singing along and raging face at live shows. Bennytheghost has been in featured in Apple Music’s Zane Lowe Radio 1 show, Spotify’s Lorem, New Music Friday, Indie Pop, Anti Pop etc and covered by blogs such as Ones To Watch, Shit You Should Be Listening To, Before The Data, Fashionably Early, Sheesh and Early Rising.
Bennytheghost will drop his new EP 29 Palms this spring via AWAL Recordings, and fans can expect more new music to be trickled out of its release.
