Biblioteka, the synth-pop outfit hailing from Seattle released their latest single “Raspberry Jelly,” (listen here) off their new album set to release May 18th. Embodying the suspended state of dream pop with unforgivingly honest lyrics keeping it grounded, “Raspberry Jelly” explores the beauty behind the haunting reality of youth.
The Raspberry Jelly EP will soon be available on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud and other digital outlets.
A musical and visual exploration of emotions, Biblioteka never shy away from delving into the realm of the unknown. As represented in their dreamy synth-and-shoegaze inspired sound, the Seattle group aren’t afraid to bare all.
Biblioteka’s, fka CRITTÉ, origin story begins in 2015, but the group came to inhabit their present form in 2017. With the addition of Ukrainian singer-songwriter Mierichka (Mary) Robins on vocals and bass and Jacque Treat on keys, Hector Rodriguez (guitar) and Chris Glaser (drums) all found themselves ready to embrace a new sound. It’s this collaboration that’s on full display on Raspberry Jelly, which you can see for yourself at their album release show May 24th at Barboza.
