NEW YORK–(July 2018)–Known for her soothing vocals and lyrical compilations, New York City based broox is set to release her latest single, Real Love, aptly timed on the heels of widely celebrated Pride Month.
The 22-year-old singer/songwriter/producer is a tastemaker in modern experimental sound, digging into the resonance of emotional melodies that blend a touch of synth-wave sensation, rhythmic movements, and RnB into one. The multifaceted talent debuted her trifecta of skills in her introductory EP, Out/Through, which has amassed over 120,000 streams on Spotify since its release in April 2018.
“Real Love is more than just a song about unrequited love,” says broox on the single. “It’s about coming out the other side stronger and more equipped in having the self-awareness and self-love one needs in order to accept the real love they do deserve: themselves.”
The young artist has already received widespread recognition for her experimental works, including most recently in GoMagazine’s Pride 2018 issue. “At once emotional and rhythmic, with sultry vocals and metaphorical messages, broox’s tunes are both emotive and intimate, similar to the likes of Sylvan Esso, Lapsley, and Lorde,” writes SE Jackson.
A mere taste of what the multi-instrumentalist talent broox has in store, Out/Through provides fans with a glimpse of what they can expect to hear with the release of Real Love, in addition to further releases set to drop later this summer.
