Brother Stone & The Get Down has released their latest feel-good single of 2019, “Digital Champagne”. This LA-based group founded by two first cousins Collin Monahan and Matt Ranaudo has promised to release a new song every week for an entire year.

The track starts off with a bouncy groove and Collin Monahan singing a fun verse, motivating whoever is listening to get up and go kick the day’s rear-end. The song builds into an even more funky B section with rhythmic vocals that will get your head bobbing. Funky Rhythm guitars turn into big reverby ones and mix with 80’s style analog synth pads make for a warm, nostalgic feeling during the build up to the big chorus. Once the drop hits it’s full-on HUGE 80’s dance party, along with the added contemporary touch of a sampled melody line sitting on top of a bed of synthy goodness. This song features instrumental performances by keyboard player James Jannetty, and guitarist Claudio Tristano and was produced top-to-bottom by the artists at their studio in Los Angeles, California.
“Digital Champagne” is the 4th release of the team’s effort to independently release 1 song every week for a year. After not releasing any original music for over 2 years due to drawn out negotiations with record companies, the group decided they’d flip 180 degrees and start releasing as much music as they could independently. The ongoing project will be executive produced by the band’s two core members, Collin Monahan and Matt Ranaudo and can be followed through weekly uploads of their songs and other charming video content on their YouTube Channel. It will feature guest artists and collaborations from within the LA and NYC music scene. The songs are all being written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered independently within their own studio in the San Fernando Valley.
