Dai Burger will crush you. No games, not an abundance of foreplay, she’ll put in quick work. She joins a growing push of women MC’s unwilling to be hindered or slowed down, without the capacity for failure.
Sophomore LP ‘Bite The Burger’ out now
Out today is her sophomore LP, Bite The Burger, along with a music video for a new single, “Flame Emoji” featuring fellow NYC rapper Cakes da Killa. Dai slings one hard-hitting psychedelic banger after another in the 12-track collection that offers both club-ready empowerment anthems and smooth R&B-leaning cuts.
The psychedelic video for “Flame Emoji” perfectly matches the twerk-worthy energy of the song, as Dai and Cakes flaunt their sizzling swagger in front of rapidly-changing animated backgrounds.

The stomp of a first album single from ‘Bite The Burger, “Salty,” opens with sirens before Dai tosses her New York accent like a knife on the memorable refrain “I got the recipe, you too salty / I tell a mothaf*cka hater back off me.”
In the second single, Dai takes a little time to honor herself, boasting about her “food porn,” her irresistible “Vitamin P.” It features French production duo Baja Frequencia, who work a convulsive beat that practically recoils only to snap back into focus. Dai doesn’t leave much mystery around the title within the track, and just in case she had, kindly left these words with us: “P for pussy, power, pride, and prestige.”
Ever since her 2017 debut LP, Soft Serve, which earned praise from Billboard, Highsnobiety, i-D, Uproxx, and Hypebeast, Dai Burger has been surging forward. Across nine-tracks, she combines the unapologetic bite of 2000s hip-hop with the lightheartedness of ’70s Gogo. Like the treat, it’s a summertime classic.
The psychedelic rap diva got her start as a back-up dancer for Lil Mama before launching her career with the independently-released 2010 project MyMixxxytape. Three mixtapes, an EP, and an LP later, she’s sharpened her fiery flows into a pop-y style that never loses its edge.
