(Toronto, ON): Today marks the much anticipated release of Devontée’s “Real Rudebwoy” video, a collaboration between the rising star and rap icon Kardinal Offishall. Inspired by Toronto’s unique cultural scene, mixed in with some classic Jamaican influences and reference points, the direction of Devontée’s video creates a nicely textured visual palette that blends seamlessly with the songs rugged basslines.
“This video is about great vibes, and lots of culture, because that’s what the Toronto I know is all about,” explains Devontée, who is both a talented rapper and producer. “That’s what raised me, so I had to give that energy back to them!”
Over the last few years you’ve witnessed Devontée’s steady rise, releasing a slew of critically-acclaimed singles including “Bare Tings”, all the way to notable singles and collaborations with NYC’s Pro Era stalwarts Joey Badass and CJ Fly. Real Rudebwoy will appear on his forthcoming Head Gone album.
