Following a performance at New York City’s Rockwood Hall on November 1st, London based singer-songwriter Million Miles (born Sophie Baudry) has released her eagerly anticipated EP Good Luck Honey.
Featuring previously released singles “Honey,” “Just Dumb Luck,” “Something Good,” and newly released “In A Good Way,” Good Luck, Honey is an optimistically soulful body of work that boasts current and timeless themes throughout. Channeling the music Million Miles grew up listening to – Carole King, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye – through her rich, effortless voice, evoking the likes of Nilufer Yanya, Leon Bridges, and Lake Street Dive.
Speaking on her new EP, Million Miles said…
“While my previous EP was mostly about failed relationships, breakups and all the heartache that comes with it, ‘Good Luck, Honey’ is about the getting over them. It’s about the good things that come out of letting go of the past, and opening up to new chapters… I feel as we’re diving into winter, a little warmth and optimism might be in order….”
Then, on a whim, Sophie decided to high-tail it to Nashville. It was here that she had the accessibility to truly hone in on both developing her artistic intent, as well as the craft of her creative songwriting.
Good Luck, Honey is the follow-up to Million Miles’ 2017 release Berry Hill, which has amassed over 3 million streams and included the single “Ice Cream & Cigarettes,” which shot to No.2 on the Spotify US Viral Chart.
Overflowing with self-assurance and positivity, Good Luck, Honey is an EP that can only enhance Million Miles’ already glowing reputation. Catch her playing it live at Cafe Momentum in Dallas, TX on December 2nd — tickets HERE.
