Congratulations to Mother Mother whose new album, Dance and Cry is released today Friday, November 2 via Universal Music Canada. LISTEN HERE via Spotify. Downloads available upon request and purchase link is here.
In addition to the new release, the Vancouver-based band have announced an extensive North American tour that kicks off on January 12 in Phoenix, AZ at the Crescent Ballroom. They play Los Angeles‘ Moroccan Lounge on January 16 and the Gramercy Theater in New York City on March 14. Full tour dates are listed below and tickets will go on-sale starting November 9.
Dance and Cry features 12-tracks, all of which were written by lead singer Ryan Guldemond and produced by Guldemond and Ben Kaplan. The songs on Dance and Cryrelate back to an organic, stripped down sound that reflects the bands earlier material and share themes of survival, self-reflection, sorrow and happiness. “Get Up” the lead single off the album has been met with much fanfare, impressively rocketing into the top 5 and nabbing the title of #1 most added song at Canada Alternative Rock radio in its first week of release. The track was just serviced to US Alternative radio on October 31. Check out the music video for “Get Up,” directed by Connor McGuire and shot in Vancouver, HERE. Mother Mother’s full bio is below.
