NE-YO is celebrating today’s release of his seventh studio album, Good Man (Motown Records/Compound Entertainment), with a free concert in New York City’s Central Park. His performance will be televised on ABC as part of the 2018 “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series.
The official video for the album’s title track, “Good Man,” will be given its broadcast premiere this morning on “Good Morning America.” The clip, which was shot in Los Angeles, was directed by Jerome D (Kendrick Lamar, Afrojack). “Good Man”recently topped Billboard’s Adult R&G Songs chart and can be heard in the ad campaign for the 2018 Lincoln Navigator.
NE-YO, who has sold a cumulative 20+ million adjusted albums worldwide, will perform on the outdoor stage of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday, June 20. He can also be seen on the hit NBC series “World of Dance,” serving as a judge alongside Jennifer Lopez (who is also the show’s executive producer)and Derek Hough.
Good Man is an expedition through the highs and lows of love, with an extra shot of candor. It showcases NE-YO’s growth musically and personally, while reacquainting fans with the sounds of classic R&B. In the lead up to the album’s release, Good Man racked up over 35 million combined streams worldwide.
The new single, “Push Back” featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don and produced by Stargate, was hailed by Idolator as “a sunny dancehall-infused banger.” The official “Push Back” video has more than 25 million views.
