SoccerMommy – twenty-one year old Nashville native SophieAllison – released her debut album Clean last year to mass critical acclaim, earning year-end nods from 100+ publications, including The New York Times’ #1 Album of 2018. Today, before she embarks on another headline tour and support tour with KaceyMusgraves, she shares the demo for Clean-highlight “Blossom” for the first time. Additionally, “BeSeeingYou” – which was previously only available physically as the b-side to the “Last Girl” 7-inch and on Bandcamp – is now available on DSPs. Listen to them both HERE.
“’Blossom‘ was one of the first songs I wrote for Clean. It was before I even realized Clean was going to exist. I was always happy with the demo – it got made in the basement of my dorm room when I was still in college,” explains Allison. “’BeSeeingYou‘ is an even older track. It was made as a single with the original recording of ‘Last Girl’ but it was never put on streaming. It’s an old favorite of mine so I’m happy to see it get released everywhere.”
SoccerMommy is on a headline tour now, with a West Coast tour supporting Kacey Musgraves to follow. Allison and her band are also confirmed to perform at Coachella, Governor’sBall, PrimaveraSound, ShakyKnees, and more festival appearances to come.
