Woodstock, NY band The Bobby Lees have released a new single, “GutterMilk.” The track was produced by Jon Spencer (The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Pussy Galore, Boss Hog) and brandishes 98 seconds of expertly crafted garage punk at its best. The Bobby Lees are unleashing the track by way of a video directed by John Swab (Let Me Make You a Martyr) who they note, “wanted to capture our energy in an abandoned building with destroyed elements surrounding us.” Watch “Guttermilk” here.
The Bobby Lees are Sam Quartin (Vox/Guitar), Kendall Wind (Bass), Nick Casa (Lead Guitar), and Macky Bowman (Drums). They have spent the last year honing their live show supporting the likes of The Black Lips, Boss Hog, and Murphy’s Law . The band will be hitting the road this Fall with dates that kick off August 22 in Fort Worth, TX and conclude in NYC at Coney Island Baby on October 26. Along the way they make stops in Austin, at the Muddy Roots Festival in Cookeville, TN and in Nashville, TN.
When not rehearsing and recording with The Bobby Lees, Sam is also an actor. In 2017 she starred opposite Marilyn Manson in Let Me Make You A Martyr and since then she has acted alongside Crispin Glover, Michael Pitt, and Oscar-winner Melissa Leo. She has also starred in the independent feature films Body Brokers, Run With The Hunted, By the Rivers of Babylon, and Tyger Tyger – all set to be released in 2020. That her vocals on “Guttermilk” carry a wild, theatrical element is no doubt partially because of her experience embodying different voices and personalities.
