Swedish artist Therése Neaimé breaks the boundaries between genres. Her latest studio work, “Fools Gold” is no exception, released on Friday, December 2 as a music video on Youtube.
“Fools Gold” highlights Therése Neaimé’s beautiful voice, as well as her ability to constantly incorporate new ideas and develop her sound. At the same time, the song invites you to something captivating and down to earth. With ingenious melodies and a text that touches, this production offers dynamic perfection. The verses have a kind of Motown feel, while the choruses offer a more modern indie-pop vibe.
“It felt completely natural for me to make a music video for ‘Fools Gold’ and for me the song and video is about daring to stand up for who you are, about being a strong woman who continues to go her own way, even if it sometimes means life-changing decisions. It is also about being proud of your body and daring to love with all your heart, even if in the end it does not always turn out as you imagined,” says Therése Neaimé.
About the music video
The music video is a collaboration between Therése Neaimé and the artist Pernilla Pramberg who expresses her art on Therése’s bare body.
“We wanted to highlight the importance of being proud of yourself and how you look. In today’s society where many feel worse and worse about the pursuit of the ‘perfect’ life, it feels even more important to inspire more people to courage. Courage to dare to change what you do not like in your life, Therése continues.”
With the video, we also wanted to highlight the need to put more “color” in life. In a climate that is increasingly colored gray with ongoing wars, climate change, and the pandemic, it feels more relevant than ever, Therése concludes.
