Orange County’s upstarters, Younger Hunger, chime into your daily proceedings with a hell of an emo anthem, that packs a punch with a message most can relate to, and that’s simply put… Second Place SUCKS!

“Really loving somebody who puts you down in the pecking order is the worst. This song is all about that & if you feel the same, we feel ya” explains frontman Tony Davia, who has been building a discography of tunes like Summer Bummer & Dead Inside, which are heavily influenced by 90’s indie-rock guitars, chart topping pop hooks, and emo lyricism that can help anybody feeling the same to give it all the middle finger.
That said, Younger Hunger are a band you’ll struggle to box in. It all starts with a mission within the 3-piece to not make the same song twice. The band will tell you their joint interests are in drinking margaritas, playing Nintendo 64 & dreaming of “destroying the world” together is a good snapshot to seeing the perfect contradiction they present us with.
You can catch up with all the band’s regular updates on TikTok where they’ve garnered 2m+ likes, including various that have gone viral & Instagram for everything else. All music can be found on Spotify & Soundcloud
